Robert Seeburger Jr. has dedicated over 32 years to the fire service industry. He is a retired
Battalion Fire Chief from the Bayonne Fire Department in Hudson County. His career
commenced in 1992, with promotions to Lieutenant in 2000, Captain in 2005, and Battalion
Chief in 2010, making him one of the youngest Chief Officers in the department’s history.
Throughout his distinguished career, he has served in various capacities including Engine,
Truck, HazMat, and Rescue Companies. He concluded his tenure as Chief of Operations and
Special Operations, responsible for overseeing all Special Operations Companies for more than
a decade. Previously, he served as a tour commander for five years. He holds numerous
certifications such as New Jersey Level 2 Instructor, NFPA Rope Rescue Technician Instructor,
UASI Task Force Member, and has served as Chairman of the Metro Urban Search and Rescue
Executive Committee for eight years, responding to a variety of technical rescue incidents. Over
the course of his career, Mr. Seeburger has received multiple commendations in recognition of
his bravery.
For the past nine years, Mr. Robert has held the position of partner at Superior Fire &
Emergency Training LLC, an organization that delivers emergency response training
across the tri-state region. In 2025, Mr. Robert founded Halex Consulting, a consulting
firm specializing in emergency services. The firm provides support to various
departments and industries in the domains of Safety, Compliance, and Exercise
Planning.
